Wheel hub bearings

Hey!

have you guys ever cleaned and greased Teslas wheel hub bearings?

was a case here where the hub and axel had sort of fused together and was impossible to get the hub out.. model s had some 240k kmd on it. Repair tech said that if you'd clean and grease the bearings say after every 100k kms it should prevent that.. now thet had to change a lot of parts instead of just the hub..

Also I'm not sure all me terms are correct here, but you should get the idea.

Looking for ideas how to do this.

Just youtube a diy on wheel bearing packing. It's not hard but messy. I would suggest using thin latex or nitrile gloves.

So to clarify: hub was stuck in drive shaft.
So you need to grease the gap between the hub and the drive axle.

Pretty routine in the bad old days. The ungreased roller bearing would overheat and fuse itself to the spindle. Grease the bearing, not the gap.
