I apologize if I missed it, but I can't find it anywhere. What size wheels were on the prototypes?

I know it could change, but I need to find things to obsess about for the next two years or so. :)

The reveal cars all had center locking hubs. I don't know of any real advantages that would drive this decision, so I'd guess there's a good chance it'll change for production.

On Bjørn video at 0:46 you can see that it is 20inch wheels :
Pretty expensive wheels for a "cheap model". I hope they wil. fit the car with smaller wheels.

Im hoping that they have 17" tires in mind, that way I can keep my winter tires for the model 3.

They have fitted low-profile tires on the car (275/30R20). Taking these numbers a 245/45-R18 or a 245/50-R17 can be used.

I wouldn't mind an 18" wheel with a slightly larger profile all season tire for comfort, and maybe the 20" wheel with a summer tire as the "performance/upgraded" wheel/tire package.
