Wheelbands to protect 22" rims

Just installed these ( wheelbands.com ) thanks to @lilbean:


Simple to install, web site says protects from curb rash up to 5 MPH. If you rash the band you can pop out the center strip and pop in a new one.

If I had to do over I would've gotten black mounting strip with red insert, but I still like it. I was lucky as I bought a floor model with rashed up rims already, so I got to drive my X with those on for a month to get used to the car then Tesla replaced them all.

I think they're just attached with glue though. Won't they just fall off after a while?

Some kinda super strong double sided tape. From what I can tell, they are not coming off.
