Wheels and tires for for that X5 M look!!

Always liked the rear stance/appearance of the X5 M. The way those wider tires and wheels filled the wheel wells, a sporty look than that of a huge SUV, even a slight poke on the rear tires were all great. I believe they were 295's and 315's on a 21x10.5 wheels.

Would prefer something similar on MYP with a square set up. At this point, I am inclined towards 20" wheels but that can be changed. Assuming a set of 20x10 or 20x10.5 wheels, what are my options for a a square set up ( same size wheels a& tires for front and rear) without any fitment issues? Have seen quite a few folks with 275 40 20's without any issues.

Any other suggestions? Thanks

Why not run 265/40/21 front, and 285/40/21 or 295/35/21 in rear. There's a great thread about it. Looks great. Or get fronts 21x9.5 and square it with 265/40/21.

Thanks. My preference would be a square set up for easier rotation etc. Lots of good choices of wheels and tires on 20". Also, live in an area where no need for winter tires. All seasons will be good

Appreciate if someone can provide some inputs here...Is 275 is the widest that can go on a 20" square set up on Model Y performance?
Reason I would like to stick with 20 is due to weight, style, price choices.

That "X5 M" look is exactly what I like, too. I installed 295/30R21 tires in back. In the pic, 295s on left, OEM 275s on right.

The stock 21s could take 305s.

Here is the AFF7 with full lock in the front (275/40/20). Definitely less than a finger gap, maybe 1/4 inch? I think 285/35 might fit, maybe even a 295/35 (might rub?).

Just found a Model Y on the Stance Wheels website with 295/30/21 in the front (square setup with 21x10.5), so maybe 295/35/20 square setup is possible.
With 295 30 21's it should be pretty close the stock front overall diameter of MYP ( 710 mm vs 712mm) . While overall diameter is NOT the only aspect to consider for fitment/rubbing issues, some numbers for reference.
Stock Set up on MYP - Rear 726 mm and front 712 mm on stock set up with 275's and 255's on 21" rim.
Square set up with 275 40 20 - Overall diameter 728 mm (which fits fine without any issues)
Square set up with 285 35 20 - Overall diameter 708 mm
Square set up with 295 35 20 - Overall diameter 715 mm
Set up with 295 30 21 - Overall diameter 710 mm

What is the set up for front tires? I assume it is a MYP
Still on OEM fronts: 255/35R21 (MYP)

These 295s in the rear are just a stop gap until all four need replacement. Running 295 in back and 255 in front isn't ideal; there is a bit more understeer. I'm thinking about putting a larger rear sway bar on to bring it back, and ideally with a bit more oversteer than stock.

Regardless, that "X5 M" look is fantastic.

Great ....With oem 255's up front and 295 30 21 at the back you have almost same overall diameter at front and back 712mm and 715mm👍
