I actually bought from this place via Ebay... I asked them to powder coat the wheels, which they did for small fee, and the wheels were OEM and completely looked new (well refurbished). I recommend them.
As for wheel choice: I'd say the 20 inch as recommended above or a cyclone 19' wheel.. you can get any wheel in black if that's what you prefer
I do not have air ride. You can find a used set for cheap since the model x owners upgrade to the 22" , just need to change the tires i changed them to 245/40/20 front and 275/35/20 rear and fills it in very nice no rubbing at all and all of the model x tire pressure sensors work with the model s
Can you please post some more pics from other angles? If possible can you take one from really really low to the ground from behind that shows how wide the wheels look from behind? Thanks!
Beautiful, do the model X rims require you to run staggered tires. This always makes rotations and tire wear tricky. Would it be possible to run 245/40/20 on all tires?
Are you suggesting I have a problem dark cloud? The first thing is to acknowledge if you have a problem which I absolutely do not.... haha. So keen to hear if anyone has fitted 295s on an S before.
You think for the picture of their product they would at least have a good one with no visible blemishes.
Everyone understands these are refurbished wheels; where no-one knows how much curb damage may be bondoed and covered up. As long as the wheel did not have too much of the lip repaired, and it is straight and true, and will balance properly at high speeds it should be fine. I know some refurb companies check every wheel for runout to make sure it is not bent, not sure about these guys but I would check it out.
And there were numerous problems with warping rotors on many threads; part of the problemTesla claims was the painted backs of their stock wheels where it mounts the hub as the braking heat could not transfer to the wheel and dissipate, so remove all paint on that area before mounting.
