When will I be able to access my Tesla via the Phone App?

Yep, I picked up my Model S 90D yesterday afternoon. My DS had me log into an iPad and said it would take 10 minutes. It went active while a team member was giving me an orientation of the car.

I took delivery last Thursday and it hasnt happened yet. Reached out to support and service advisor and all 3 including myself have reached out to DS but he is MIA. What can I do now?

And even then, it might take several hours after the delivery. Ours wasn't activated via the app until about 5.5 hours after the delivery occurred and we'd left the Tesla location. We were told by a Tesla employee that it may take 8-12 hours.

I'd strongly suggest you call your local Tesla showroom and ask to speak with the DS manager.

George told me during pickup a couple of days, however by the time I got home an hour later, my app saw both cars. I used the switch symbol to point the current car (the same arrows in bottom right to switch screen position in our cars) Other car was traded in.

I worked with the service manager and got the app working. Honestly It's underwhelming in terms of features it offers. Can't turn on heated steering wheel, can't schedule heating only turn on/off.. Only use would be to know the charging status and when a new update gets out. Perhaps remote unlocking would be something I can use.

The app isn't great, but being able to pre-cool or pre-heat my car, check cabin temp, check charge status, unlock and even drive it without a key is already pretty huge in my book. Get a third party app and you can do even more.

By pre-cool you mean manually turning on climate and setting up the desired temperature sometime before planned departure?

And how does the car drive without detecting a fob?

@krazineurons yes, you can set the temp you wish before getting in the car. It drives fine without a a fob. The only issue is that if you stop the car somewhere without cell reception, you won't be able to start it again. Best to use this only for emergencies.

On my car, it turns on seat heaters to the same settings it was when I left the car. No sure about steering as I don't have the cold package.

Two phones and apps can be paired. They will both get the app notifications. But they must have the same MyTesla login.
