Feeling bullish now that it will come in 2023, probably even before CT. With the European and Canadian approvals out, the orders will significantly slow down if they don't upgrade soon. Don't you think?

The average consumer has no clue HW2, HW3, HW4... Don't expect it to come quick as they need to use all existing stock prior to change over and Elon mentioned on the last call the CT will be the first model with HW4...

They dont need to, HW3 will still be on 3 and Y for another year which are high volume cars anyways. Moving X/S to HW4 sooner will help them differentiate better, may be battle test HW4 Tesla vision in a smaller scale first, and so on.
I remember him saying CT will have HW4, but did he say it will be the first to have it?

Not sure if this is confirmed news - some said majority of X/S in US before March 4, 2023 got HW3, and starting from March 5, 2023, X/S in US all got HW4.
If US inventory of HW3 is low, 3/Y may start to get HW4 after the end of May. Does anyone learn these? Just curious.

Why would it matter?
Neither HW3 nor HW4 will have the promised FSD or even AP functionality from 6+ years ago.

What you really want is HW69.
Or if Elon gets personally involved in managing Tesla again, HW420.
