My experience of public EV charging stations thus far since collecting my M3P on Friday 17/12 has been somewhat amusing thus far!
It's Sunday night. We're at the local council HQ car park adjacent to tesco. What's going on here is the white car (council EV) on the right has been selfishly occupying that bay all Weekend from Friday without ever being tethered. I've been checking! The Jag has clearly been unable to access the rapid charger appropriately because of this, so also decides to park like a twat. Meanwhile I rock up hoping for a quick boost whilst I shop. However I'm quickly disappointed to learn that the only charger left is very slow! Still, I thought, may as well try out my brand new tesla cable to check it works! Only problem is, i'd be blocking that jag in.. Oh well, I thought, as I continued to hook up the tether, enabled sentry, then off I F&%"ed for a while to shop.
The chap was waiting when I arrived back some 25 mins later looking less than pleased.
Please tell me this isn't common practice is it? I've sent in a formal complaint to the council as it seems to be a reccuring theme with their staff abusing the spaces.
