Where do the written off Teslas go in Aus?

The model number is the main indicator of spec and price.
In rough ascending price order: 40, 60, 75, 85, 75D, 85D, P85, 90D, 100D, P85D, P90D, P100D
The number is roughly the battery pack size in kWh, which is important if you're buying it for battery.

Something is fishy about this being a stat write-off - 2017 TESLA Model X - Pickles

There is hardly any damage apparent. Airbags not deployed and doesn't look that bad. Must be something not visible, especially since this is deemed a repairable write-off - 2014 TESLA Model S - Pickles

Report says “Incident Type: Impact, Damaged Entire Vehicle”. Looking at the damage maybe it went over a gutter and scraped everything underneath. A little strange that the battery can’t be replaced if it was damaged but possibly Tesla advised they would not support it due to the damage.

Maybe Rich Rebuild could advise if anyone wants to repair and use as a farm vehicle?

doing some more reading, submerged vehicles are written off - my guess now is that this was driven into water.

That's all well and good ensuring that stat writeoffs dont make their way back on the road.
But what about those of us that are interested in purchasing writeoffs for the parts (batteries, motors etc)?
