I have a 5 seater 21 X. There are USB-A ports in the center console area and in the back seat area.

That said, where do you all put your storage devices for sentry mode/dash cam? Is there a good way to hide it? ‍♂️

TIA!

I purchased a second right angle USB extension, whittled out the same cutout that the charger right angle has, plugged in a micro sd card reader and it lives under the center console. It's 100% hidden, not super easy to get it, or know its there. It's totally out of the way, and with the 256gb micro sd card, really no reason to remove on a consistent basis.

Below are the parts I used:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084CJJRBW

I tried using the rear USB drive for a Sentry device on my 2020 MX but it didn't work. We know that things change with Tesla so perhaps it will work on your 2021.

I have mine tucked inside of a Taptes Hub I formerly had installed in my Model 3. It has a some extra USB ports for other things. It resides in my center console beneath an aftermarket tray. A thief would never know to look down there (hopefully). The hub is neatly plugged into the USB in the center console.

Another poster, Akikiki, did something similar to this. After the right angle extension from the center console, you can get a long usb cable (can't remember if it's 6 or 10 feet) and run it to the glove compartment very easily. If you enable the PIN for the glove compartment, then your usb drive is as safe as you can reasonably make it. Super easy to do. Just need to pop out the cubby (youtube this) and run the cable. No holes or any permanent damage. It would take no more than 3 minutes (the second time you do it...haha). I'd find the post for you, but search sucks on mobile.

Great idea, but is it easy to get the cable from the centre to the glove section. Any direction how you did managed this? Thx
