Where do you mount transponder for Metro Express Lane Access?

Where do you mount your transponder to use the metro express lanes on the 10 or 110 freeways?

I put it on the dashboard (haven't mounted it yet) yesterday and noticed that the transponder didn't beep where it should have, like in my other car (non-Tesla).

On my S there is a dotted section to the right of the rear view window by the ceiling that i stick the transponder onto.

That will let it beep on 110 N and others (for the most part). I have challenges on Southbound 73 from 405 to 5

That's where I put my FasTrak transponder, works fine.
