Geez I’ve never seen a bunch of people whining about updates to their cars before when literally no other manufacturer does these periodic releases.
Come on guys, probably we will get new fart sounds. Aren't you excited? In all seriousness, I prefer it is properly debugged. It is ready when it's ready.
With boom box we can make our own special new fart sounds, but it's all good, can't we all just get along? (To quote a friend's former client)
Looks like a 2020.48.35.8 is getting limited release based on Teslafi data. And Teslascope is reporting a single German car on a 2020.48.37 So 2021.... Might be some time off.
Do your cars work? Do you need a software update to survive? Stop freaking out over this. It will come when it comes.
Absolutely agree with recent comments. I love getting updates but we are definitely not "entitled" to any, we are just lucky we get them. People that paid for FSD are entitled, all the rest (me included) are just in for the ride. On top of that, I was trying to help people understand how software development works, the fact that they choose what to release and when, that quality might not be up to par sometimes so releases are skipped etc. I guess I was shot down because it's not what people want to hear. It's true nonetheless
First first part is unequivocally false Part of the selling point of the car which is included directly from their site is that you get "Over-the-air software updates introduce new features, functionality and performance". This isn't a "if we feel like it" or "if you're lucky enough we'll send you some" Its a promised selling point...at least for now. Timing is obviously open, there are no promised dates for these updates or anything. But as a buyer of a Tesla vehicle today, you're absolutely "entitled" to OTA's.
You are entitled to get free downgrades or UI ‘improvements’, ok I get it, your a fan. I paid for a car with a better display options, and a large nav screen. I get an update with a giant amount of space for useless data.
Yup. I'll drive my car and let others debug alpha builds. Also the *best* thing about TMC: the number of users that don't even have a Tesla complaining about the firmware.
I thought his dad was Jin SanPeng that's really clout jk K, hope you're not offended, it's just not a common name
