Where the Semi Truck will be build and when will it be delivered?

I wonder where the Semi Truck will be build and when will it be delivered?

I imagine that Tesla will produce the Semi Truck batteries and electrical engines,

and will use OEM wheels, axial, and 5th wheel.

I don’t think that Tesla will build a new factory for the Semi Truck.

- So I wonder where will the Semi Truck assembled?


What kind of estimated delivery would be possible then.

- I read delivery at the end of 2019, is it doable?

Based on past launch dates and first deliveries I guess the first vehicles will be delivered about 1 year after their initial goal.

The semi will need a lot of batteries. Batteries are currently the bottleneck for most EVs. So a fully operational Gigafactory is neccessary.

My guess of the actual delivery date is 2 to 3 years from now, not Elon announce date..

I think moving forward every product after Model 3 from Tesla will be built at Gigafactories. Probably even Model 3 production will eventually move to a giga factory. Its only logical, no need to transport battery packs from here to there, build cells/packs on the upper floor and leave the lower floor to build cars and other finished goods.

Just like everything else, building the second and third Gigafactories will be faster and cheaper due to experience learned from first Gigafactory.

Build 60,000 Bolts or 500,000 Model 3 - which will have the lowest costs?

OK, how about 23,000 Bolts or 50,000 Model 3? (might that be 1st full year production of both?)
