Where to stow tow hook (towing eyebolt)?

Lol, haven’t seen these posts of mine in almost 3 years... as for keeping the towing ‘eye’ in the frunk, the odds of the car being so disabled you can’t open the trunk to get to the UMC are low. But yeah the original intent was to keep the eye in the frunk. You sometimes wonder about Tesla continuity when items like this (the floor storage cutout) get lost in the redesign.

A reminder to all to test your towing eye as the paint on the threads can make it hard to screw in the first time and you probably don’t want to have the first time be in the middle of the night when in the boondocks. And remember it’s a left hand thread! :D

I just took delivery and asked the delivery specialist. He also said that it is just supposed to set up in the cavity in the front. Very weird... everything else has a home but the tow "hook" is just supposed to flop around. (And ironically is probably the least likely to get used)

Where would we actually screw the tow hook into? Normally the vehicles have this square on the front bumper you pop out... the X does not...
I bought a used X from Tesla and it is missing everything that was loose so of course the tow hook is also missing. Not sure if I should bother getting it because I have literally never heard of anyone using it.... ?

Resurrecting this chain. Just took delivery of a model year 2020 and unable to figure out where the tow hook stows in the frunk. Does it just sit freely in this slot behind the bumper?

When I opened the trunk for the first time the tow hook was sitting on the floor so I'm assuming the slot is not a good place for it as it will move?

TIA

Where is correct place to store this for 2020 model?
