Had this problem, and fixed it with two pieces of faux suede, lizard pattern, in a gray that prettymuch matched the Alcantera in the doors. Each piece wah no more than 5-5.5" left to right, cut to the taper that allowed it to be stuck down with double stick craft tape. It looks near factory.
