I want to know where you can get those clips to hold the inner door panels to the doors. I plan to replace my sound system requiring me to remove my door panels. The clips might break in the process or better yet replace them all so I don't get door panel creaking after reinstalling.

    Thanks!

Check out this post, it has the clips listed. They are the same as a Toyota part because Elon just used an old box of them that he found sitting around the old NUMMI plant when he bought it. ; )

Also, if you live near a service center, they will often give them to you if you ask nicely. (Depends who is working service that day, and how much of a stickler the parts guy wants to be, sometimes they will "have to" write up a work order to sell you the parts, they are a couple cents each)

I don't mind paying. I just want to get the right parts. Thanks for all the replies. Is the one with the rubber better buy or that fits somewhere else on the car? The rubber might help remove some of the rattling.

    Thanks!

Supposedly the one with the rubber has been replaced with an updated version that has a rubbery felt ring nestled into the plastic circle (instead of around it). At least that was what the service center told me when I went to get a couple of them. I used that new part they provided and it felt like it was a more solid attachment than the ones with the rubber.

Bought some trim clips from my service center today. Pricing is very reasonable. Should be the first place most people look.

I made an image showing the part, the official name from the receipt, the part number and the current pricing in the US.

    1009399-00-A
    $0.15

HEART FLEX CLIP WITH WASHER - 70 LBS RETENTION

    $0.22

    NIFCO TRIM CLIP 12733

TRIM CLIP 1.7 TO 3MM PANEL WITH 7MM HOLE

Meant to add, the invoice says this on it under the Heart Flex Clip "All door panel clips must be replaced after removal."
