These are the same upselling techniques used by BMW Audi etc... Works for them, pretty upsetting but people will shell out the cash which helps the bottom line since it should be all extra margin to Tesla

Hmmmm....I need to look into this a bit more then.

I would figure something like that staining the seats would be covered by tesla under warranty, no?

Light coloured seats from all brands get stained. That's a risk you take. It won't be covered.

Thanks for the replies...that confirms for me I wont be getting it then....too bad, I would have paid the extra 2k if it was something that had some assurance, but its too risky given some of the light reading I did.

From what we've seen, Tesla's vegan white seats hold up better than most light leathers.

This family with two kids had it in their Model X which they recently sold. They put a lot of miles on their X and sold it in decent shape. It's all about how you keep up with the cleaning.
