    @elonmusk twitted:
    That's an 81.6% range retention.

    (Hopefully I'm not late with this news too).

    Maybe he meant that, for the first time, a Roadster passed 100,000 mi while still retaining 200+ mi of range.

    Are there Roadsters that passed 100K mi that didn't retain 200+ miles of range?

    I wonder if Elon was partly responding to this: The Mini-E's True Believer Gets the Keys to the First BMW ActiveE | PluginCars.com

    --------
    According to Dave Buchko, who heads technology communications at BMW, Moloughney is the nation’s first ActiveE driver, and he will get the keys from Ludwig Willisch, the new president of BMW North America.

    “This guy was chosen because at this stage he’s logged more miles, over 70,000, than anyone else in the Mini-E program,” Buchko said. “Maybe more miles than anybody else in an electric vehicle, period.
    --------

    Umm, no, not "more miles than anybody else in an electric vehicle, period."

    He's new to the job. We'll give him a pass this time.

    This guy needs to do his research. There are many Rav4 EV owners that have done 100,000 miles.

    thanks rich, impressive results for the 5 RAV4EVs! It's a shame that NiMH traction batteries weren't allowed to enter the market.

    Heard that the 100,000 car was north of LA. Could be San Fran. but got the impression it was Seattle. Tom, do you have details?

    The 100K pack was replaced at 40km so we don't have a true data point yet for a 100K pack.

    I'm pretty sure that there are a few roadsters that are over 100k miles, but they may not have the original battery anymore(or at least have had bricks replaced). The one that Elon tweeted about seems like one with an original battery perhaps?

    When they have to replace a pack, Tesla tries to replace it with a refurbished pack with similar range. They only put in a completely new pack if none are available.
