Who has installed their own chrome delete?

That looks beautiful! Did you have to remove the different parts or could you wrap them while they were attached to the car?
Nice rims by the way!!
Thanks, I didn't remove any parts beside the front bumper faux grill because it was easy to pop off to wrap around the chrome there. Not required if you have refresh bumper. Hardest most time consuming part is prob the mirrors and the rear applique. I did pop off the mirrors to wrap completely under them which is totally optional and most kits don't require you to do so but I have full coverage when mirrors are folded in or not.

I did my own satin black vinyl with a kit from NikolaPro.

The kit came with two full sets and I was able to get good results with just one set. I have the second in case any of the pieces get damaged over time. Great product, great instruction videos and was not too hard. I do have some experience with vinyl since I have done trim on other cars without kits, so your result may vary.

I'm curious to hear from anyone who has done this themselves. Curious how it turned out, what kit you used, and if you'd do it again. Bonus for pics!

Thinking of doing the chrome delete on my Midnight Silver Metallic and using the Matte Black film. Would love to hear from anyones experience.
I just did a chrome delete with nikola pro. Relatively easy. I opted not to plastidip as I didn’t want to cover and tape off the whole car. And I didn’t like the “feel” of the plastidip on my spare wheels.

I have an extra set of matte black if you are interested.

I went with Nikola Pro too and went with Gloss Black. Took about 8 hours over a couple of weekends. The mirrors were the most challenging part. If you decide to go with Nikola Pro be sure to watch the install videos (many times) prior to installing.

It definitely isn’t perfect but I’m happy with the results. If you’re looking for a perfection then I would take it to a professional shop but be prepared to pay significantly more.

Nikola Pro here too, turn out great! Their videos make the product what it is.

I was going to try doing it myself without the kit at first, but a couple pieces (the mirrors and tailgate "TESLA" specifically) would be VERY hard without the kit.

If you have a blue car, don't bother with the blue handle option they offer, the color is WAY off.

No kit. Just a roll of wide matte black Viivid (IIRC) vinyl. I say wide because I didn’t want a seam for the upper section at the rear C-pillar. Only way to accomplish that is to have a wide enough roll that covers the sideways V shape. Only thing I didn’t do was the mirrors as I knew I’d fubar that for sure. :) Not noticeable IMO with almost everything else de-chromed. Two Plasti-dipped pieces were the nosecone surround/trim and rear appliqué.
