Who says size doesn't matter? Just 1" matters

icked up my red M3D. Armed with my checklist and flashlight, I was gearing up to go through everything. Before I could even get started, wife says "hey come take a look at this." Boom, 1.25 inch deep scratch right through the clearcoat and paint - UGH!


They're so sleazy there - they say nothing, don't look, don't point it out. I make a stink and next thing I know I'm driving it to an authorized autobody shop to get not only that door painted but also the passenger door.

I guess the silver lining is, I didn't find a single other thing wrong.

Take a look at this amazing pic - 3 red's all being picked up at the same time! And no, not a single other one had any external paint blemish other than mine

I shouldn't say sleazy,
I mean more schiesty: they say nothing, don't look, don't point it out. Own up to it, just tell me vs me making me feel like an asshole for making a stink. And then I have to drive 45 minutes to a body shop. Shouldn't this have all happened by them?

It's really sad that Tesla quality control has come to this. I get the ramp up stresses the system, but even Kia does better than this.
