I’m sitting in the waiting room now while my car is getting 30% CTX on the back window and sides. I’m told they are no longer doing sunroofs as people are having issues with cracking from the added heat absorption. Also passing on windshield film. Will post pix of the work later.
I would love to see some pics, I have an appointment at signature next week for the same. I like the look of 30% so I think I'm doing the same as you but I'm considering 18% CTX on the back window with 30% on the sides.

Your Triangle Window Tint and Paint Protection Film Specialists

they were able to do the whole back window in one piece.
Cool. Have they done many 3s? Any issues in dealing with them? Did they have any cars you could look at to figure out what film you like?

I've noticed TVP Auto right next to Tesla Sales. Couldn't tell what tint they use from their website, but doesn't seem to be 3M. Also, I see the nearest PhotoSync dealer is in Wilmington, which is a bit far.

No issues. It's a small husband wife team and they do a lot of high end stuff. I actually think mine was the first 3, there are some pics of it on their website during the process and as you can see the back glass is not an easy task. They have pics of cars they have done and usually cars in the shop. They are very happy to explain to you how stuff works and give a demo of how much heat rejection you will be getting. I'm sure other tints do a good job as well but the CM60 has been amazing for heat blocking while still IMO looking very classy.

for those of you who have gotten tinted windows on the M3, question: opening the doors will move the windows up and down a smidge, does that affect the tint installation? I believe you can't roll the windows down after install for a few days, right? Thanks!
I just did my best to use the car as little as possible for the following 3 days.

I’m getting my windows tinted at the same time that I’m getting PPF and ceramic coating done. The shop I’m taking it to is going to have the car for two weeks, so the car shouldn’t move much in that time. If you can I’d get it all done at once if you’re planning on doing PPF/wrap and ceramic coat.

My BMW had windows that do the same thing. Quite a few of the higher end cars do that, actually. I was nervous too, but it didn't ever become a problem. I haven't heard it's a problem for all those cars that have frameless windows. I didn't roll down my windows, but I did open and close the door so it did roll down a smidge.

How did your tint turn out? I have an appointment as Signature next week. I'm still trying to decide between 40% and 50% CTX.

Suntek 20% HP on sides and entire back one piece done in surprise, AZ at Randy’s window tinting. Was their first model 3 and they weren’t sure they could do the back window at first but after trying it said it was much easier than they expected. $400
