Why are there so many new Plaid inventory cars showing up lately?

I figure I've been flying planes with yokes for >30 years, so I should be able to adapt

I have a chance to buy a Plaid that is the right configuration but it was damaged during transportation. Seems it was pretty bad as Tesla is disclosing it and the repair costs were almost $10k. New bumper, hood, rocker panels. They are selling it as new with the disclosure and a $4k discount.

Would be interested to hear if anyone has a strong opinion on this. Worth it for the discount? Too risky that something wasn't repaired properly?

I'd do it for 10k, for 4k hell no

I would buy it. Have it checked thoroughly at a third party and then hark back @tesla if necessary.

If you get a good SA you can remove FSD on inventory cars, or at least it used to be possible.

You don’t need the SA to remove it - FSD can be removed from any inventory car right after you place the order online.

Correction, Tuesday was the 28th...details attached. SA deleted the FSD and I went with the monthly $199/mo.FSD as a trial instead....

Yay!! Congrats. I had ordered mine on 17th and took delivery on 22nd. Enrolled in FSD beta que at delivery and got beta yesterday. Life is all good rn!

I tried it, 500 mile turo, it’s awful. Canceled my order an still happy I did.
