Why aren't cars longer and skinnier for better payload:drag?

    The Aptera looks cool but I think it would suffer alot of damage just hitting a pot hole. Would not survive very rough roads

    Hasn’t been mentioned yet... Safety. Who here knows someone or was themselves involved in a motorcycle accident? How happy were you with the 70 miles per gallon they were getting just before that? Sausage car is just somewhere on that spectrum on the unacceptable outcome side of most people’s priority list with safety.

    Think outside the (car) box... literally, and a sleek vehicle can be safe!
    In 6 months, if all is well, this concept WILL be underway towards prototyping.
