Why do the 20" wheels require suspension modifications?

I've asked a few times and not yet seen an answer.

Why do the 20" wheels require suspensio modification? The outer tire diameter is nearly the same as the 19's And the inner diameter does not create any need for suspension mods.

Plus sizing the wheel doesn't require suspension mods unless something else changes, like wheel width, wheel offset, etc.

The only reason I can think of is that it's not required to fit, just that they give you a bit more neg camber.

That's fine but when you buy the $4000 20" wheel package, they do suspension mods. I don't get it.

To go along with the performance wheels and tires they give you more neg camber. They assume non sport hyper-miling customers won't like uneven wear.

Adding negative camber is fun.

Thats bs. Size does change wheel gemotry over bearings. Only offset wheels do.
Not sure how Tesla computer handles larger tires for speed reading?

It is almost certain it changes camber so the wheels dont scrape while cornering. If you look at how multi-link suspension works you will see the upper fore link changes camber

It changes camber for performance, not because the wheels wouldn't fit. Nowhere near rubbing.
