r1234yf has been used since 2020 on all the teslas..it's actually about the same price of r134a right now ..R134a is super expensive right now its ridiculous

$12/lb. doesn't seem too bad for R-134a. A few years ago, I'd pick up a 6-pack at Sam's Club every now and then. I've got plenty of it.

R-1234yf seems to be going for $50-100/lb.

It was 99 for 30lbs last year ..there going phase it out so the price is going to go up ..and r1234y is going to go way down when dupont patent runs out

I'm not sure why it was recommended due to moisture, that part really threw me off. I changed mine after my 5 years of ownership and see why it should be changed. There was a lot of debris in mine. This is a picture of the one from our X. They start out white and have have some flow... Often the decadent bag is pretty black on the end near the filter.
