Why doesn't Tesla change the rear-liftgate tone on the S?

I needed what I thought was an alarm speaker for a project so I dug up my old rear-hatch speaker. You know, the one that makes that terrible screeching noise in the S. Apparently, it's just a speaker, not a piezzo beeping speaker like I originally thought. Which begs the obvious question, why not change the shutting tone to something sexy buttery smooth like the X if all it is, is a sound file like the passenger door tones?

Yeah it could definitely be toned down. Even more annoying on my SUV. (And I will never have the chance to change that!) I mean, I get it. It's a safety thing but the brilliant minds at work legislating how we must not hurt ourselves don't seem to. Back up alarms are deafening but largely ignored.
OK, I'll step down off my soapbox now. :)
