Why doesn't the temp go below 64

I could've sworn the temp could be set lower on other cars I've owned in the past with digital temperature input. I ask because I'm hot all the time and sometimes I want to run the AC even when the outside temp is at or below 64. Forcing me to sometimes go to LO for some real AC only problem is that puts the fan on megablast which then causes me to reduce fan speed. Just thinking giving a wider range of temps to select on the low end would allow me to avoid all the extra steps... Anybody else think this? I will be checking the low temp in my GFs Honda CRV this weekend to see if it goes lower...

Toyota has 68 as the lowest setting (before max cold)

Also, are you in range mode? The mins and maxes are different.

I'm a little confused. What does the outside temperature have to do with this?

Do you want the inside temperature to go below 64?
