What was your primary reason for investing in Tesla Motors?

My thinking was that if I gave an "All of the above" option, fewer people would make a choice.

But for me, it was the overwhelming 'all of the above and more' that made it impossible NOT to invest.

I think the only reason to invest is to make money, by definition. The first 3 choices are why it's a good idea to invest in TM, but not the reason to invest.

Agreed. Data point: I never directly bought a stock in my life until I bought TSLA back in January, I only invested in mutual funds. It was the amazing potential and belief in what TSLA was doing that gave me the idea that I should buy stock in the company. My idea was if the company did well I'd be able to afford to get one of their cars in 4 or 5 years. 6 months later...
