I think OP is being pretty impatient. It is a different buying experience. They might still be recouping from end of quarter push that ended 2 weeks ago. There might still be little bit of tax break push as well and some people might be seeing it as the last chance for any discount (even though it's small).

Or OP does have a deadline that s/he must get the car buy to do their work, etc. I cant blame the OP canceling if that is the case, disappointing situation indeed.

OP - Have you looked at other BEVs that you can order right from the stealerships?
