Why is solar going back to the grid instead of charging powerwall?

I have one of my PW's to 100%, but the other for some reason is only at 86 and sending most back to the grid. And at 4 is goes 100% battery.
Any ideas what maybe going on?

Unless you are in self powered mode, all of those time based modes also try to anticipate when you might not need it full for the next day, especially in a transition between weekday and weekend rates or something.

If you are in a TOU mode, thats likely what is happening.

If this is happening in self-powered mode, I had the same problem, plus at times solar was getting capped at home usage with all excess generation just going to waste (not charging batteries or going back to grid). I was stuck in tier-2 customer service hell for several months but eventually an onsite service visit fixed it. Was told they had to "switch some things out" but not sure exactly what they did to fix it.
