Why is supercharger pricing not shown?

Hi everyone,

Newbie here. Question regarding supercharger pricing - When I select the pin for any supercharger on the map/navigation screen, it doesn't show the pricing. It does show the stalls occupied/available, amenities, just not the pricing. When I picked up the car last week, the SA gave me a brief tutorial, and I do remember seeing the pricing. Couldn't find anything in the user manual about it. My current software is 2022.23.300. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Originally, I was thinking you were looking in the wrong place. I went out and checked our 2022 Model S on 2022.36.2 and see a few differences from our other cars. It mentions Idle fees and the per minute rate. I missed it at first but when uploading the image here, I noticed it has the price above the "busy times" graph. For Superchargers with multiple prices, it was more obvious. Our 2022 Model X on the same version as your Y (2022.28.200) does show Supercharging information, as shown in the image in dark mode below. FWIW, the last time I checked our 2017 Model S, it didn't show any pricing either...but it has free Supercharging for life.

The 2022.36.x update did add the "Busy Times & Price per kWh" section to the display. If we Supercharge, we see an amount but then it zeroes out and is never charged.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I just can't figure out why the prices were present when the SA gave me the tutorial at delivery, but now are not. This is what mine currently shows...

Instead of navigating to the supercharger, you have to just click it as a point of interest. So on the right, you can select the pointed oval point of interest button. Then you can select the supercharger. Sorry it is hard to describe in words, but play around with that (and unselecting the lightning bolts below the POI) and you'll get it.

MorrisonHiker, thanks for your help in troubleshooting. Yes, I do have a card on file.

vlee, yes although it initially took me a while to figure that out, yes, I was just selecting the pin and not navigating to it.

So after having this issue for the past few days, I just got in my car and now its working! 🤣

Not sure what the issue was because I didn't change a thing. The software still shows 2022.28.300.

Thank you all for your insight.

Anyone know if rates are calculated at the time of start or when u end the charge?
Reason i ask: details not show in my car but most ppl say its 11am-8pm for higher day time prices
I charged from like 19:30-20:15 on Sun n it was 23c
Then charged on Mon about 1830-1900 n it was 43c

@SQRL it’s odd that your first screenshot says for customers only and mentions valet. But the second one does not. I looked up that same location in my M3 and it looks more like your second image.
I’ve been to a valet based supercharger before where they charged a $20 flat fee. I’m guessing they pay the electric bill themselves, like a destination charger. So perhaps this Carlsbad location recently changed their equipment to be a regular supercharger.
