Why my software version stays at 2021.3.106 52739250009a?

My car is connected to WIFI everyday and is on advanced update option.
But the version stays at 2021.3.106 52739250009a since I picked up my car. It shows up to date, but as far as I know the latest should be 2021.4.106-27-5673925000.
Any advice?

I am not sure about its numbering convention as what you wish for might be the old ones since February:

2021.3.106.5 First noticed: August 12, 2021

2021.4.10 First noticed: February 19, 2021

Any advice?

Sure, if there are some new features in the latest one, I would want it but otherwise, If ain't broke don't fix it!

(I've learned this since 2012 as the fix for some old bugs might introduce some new bugs. So, if there are no new features, there's no hurry for me).

2021.4.21.3 is trash, avoid it if you can.

On my original software (delivery Jun 29, vin MF189xxx) the software was good but limited to 70 mph on Auto Pilot. The next update was also good, and raised speed limit on AP to 80 mph. The next update (2021.4.21.3) is horrible. Phantom brake events went from being a rare annoyance to a constant pain in the ass during the day and an absolute nightmare at night.

Could be a coincidence but appears to be happening to another new delivery.

So I find that having Autopilot engaged and accidentally hitting 81 MPH I get put in the dog house for the remainder of the trip lol. I was just trying to get out of some people’s way in the fast lane. But it won’t give you auto steer back until he next ‘trip’.

how does the doghouse thing work? i was definitely over 80mph in my last trip and was able to engage/disengage autopilot throughout the drive

If you have AP engaged, and override the TACC speed with the accelerator pedal you are fine until you go over 81ish mph. At that point it disengages AP and will not allow you to engage AP for the remainder of that trip. If you are not using AP you are not penalized for going faster than that as long as you are the one doing the steering, not the car steering itself.

I can only speak to having a vision-only 2021.3.105 car, but I can go all the way to 90 before it kills AP for the trip, but it will kill it at ANY speed if you accelerate too hard or have a collision warning (in my case, passing a truck that moved over but stayed hugging the lane line and AP really hated it). I actually tested it when I was getting close to home and I gunned it at 25 and was dog housed before I hit 35.
