Why my vent moves, finally figured this out!

Since V9, my vent seemed to want to split around me. Bugged me for weeks. Face towards me, sure enouph, they split again.

Then I caught myself... while trying to turn down the fan speed, I missed the minus button slightly and it split. Everything outside that fan speed control is active vent control.

There needs to be a dead zone around the fan buttom... period.

there also needs to be a close "X" button on the fan/climate page.

I frequently try to close it by swiping down, but end up changing the air flow at the same time. Hard to do cleanly while car is in motion bounding over the rough road.

I still think the A/C interface needs improvement. It’s not completely clear and straightforward and accurately pinpointing flow is tricky. Also, the animation is just fluff. It was simpler to direct airflow accurately before the software update.

I just touch the Fan button on the bottom tool bar again.
