My Tesla is new, why do I need a paint correction?
Most new vehicles will have some paint imperfections and some contamination that is in the clear coat from the transport when you take delivery of your new vehicle. When you look at some of the panels in the sunlight, you can see the light surface scratches "spider webbing effect". When doing a paint correction these do get removed.
These imperfections can include swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, and other types of damage.

Tesla vehicles, in particular, may be more prone to these imperfections due to their soft paint finish. Soft paint finishes can be easily damaged by improper washing techniques, exposure to the elements, and other factors. In addition, some Tesla owners may opt for ceramic coatings, which can also accentuate imperfections in the paint.
