Gizmodo has an article up giving a decent overview of the Model 3. I post it here not because any TMC members will find anything new there but rather because the while author has been fighting the good fight in the comments, he could use some help educating folks down there. If anyone has some time to kill today, scooting over there could be a fun diversion.

The article is adequate, and as you note, contains nothing that we don't already now. Where it fails is in not making clear that by the end of 2015, less than 18 months from now, and long before the Model 3 is launched, the US and Canada and most of Europe will be covered by Superchargers. Instead of showing the map of US Superchargers as it stands now, the end of 2015 map should have been used.

By 2017 Superchargers will be ubiquitous in the US and most of Europe. And that is a key factor in planning for the success of the Model 3.

Many of the naysayers silly arguments would have been negated if the right Supercharger map had been included in the article.

Good article. Thanks for posting. A large number of Model 3s will require a large number of Superchargers wherever they are sold. That will ease the transition to BEV as well as eliminate what many would consider a limiting factor.
