Wife is afraid to use frunk

When we picked up our LR RWD a few days ago the Tesla delivery specialist made a big deal about closing the frunk lid. It needs to be gently lowered, hands placed just so, here and here, and then just the right force applied to close it fully.

He said it's just aluminum and they are seeing a lot of repairs because owners are not being gentle enough with them.

"I won't be using that" ...my wife says.

Tell her "thats fine honey, in our old car we never stored anything in that location so its fine not to use it". I have used mine a small handful of times, for bringing takeout back to work or something. Its perfectly ok if she doesnt use it, no real big loss at all.

At the risk of sounding like I am “perpetuating the patriarchy” and “mansplaining” I would like to suggest:

Show her yourself how the frunk closes and reinforce its not a big deal.

“A lot of repairs” could mean one person. People are NOT above exaggerating issues OR downplaying them.

I think the former is the truth in this case.

Wife uses frunk almost on a daily basis. It is one of her favorite things about the car. She is a demon about keeping refrigerated items cold (or even frozen) when returning from the grocery store. We keep a high end, soft sided, insulated cooler in the frunk. Absolutely no issues with closing the lid and zero damage.

Not that I recommend or promise the same results but I use my frunk all the time and close it with one hand, I just push down on the T logo... my wife just kinda slams it no problems so far. I think we would have an issue if I closed it from the far left or right, it takes some force to close and the frunk lid does look flimsy.
