Wifi only, no connection at home

Our home has no cell service, only wifi. The car connects to our wifi just fine, but our android phone app does not see either of our two Tesla Ys while at home.

So, for example, we cannot turn on the car's heat from inside our home.

I do get notifications that charging is complete...

That sucks. The problem is the car needs to get a signal from the cell or bluetooth (or keycard) in order to wake up and if it's not awake then wifi doesn't work. The phone app should work via wifi if the car is awake. This is why you get the charge complete message.

It might be interesting to see if the car will wake up if you schedule a departure time. My guess is it will not wake up on schedule without a cell signal. But if it does then this could give you a window for when your phone apps will work via wifi for a while.

You probably don't want to keep the car awake all the time because it draws several hundred watts. OTOH, if you don't mind the power drain (or as an experiment) you could try leaving sentry mode enabled. This should keep your car awake and the phone apps should work.
