Wifi settings question

I bought a used MS from Tesla a few months ago. Unlike my other MS, this one requires a subscription for premium connectivity. I have an unlimited plan with my cell carrier and set it up to automatically turn on MobileHotspot when I am in the car. Unfortunately, my car disagrees.

I have tried connecting to the mobile hotspot before I pull out of the garage and it connects, then disconnects when I start moving. I understand from other threads that this is a security issue, just wondering if there is a way to stay connected while moving without manually turning wifi back on. In the big scheme of things, it is a very minor inconvenience of course, but in a perfect world/car...

Is your phone turning wifi off or is your car refusing to connect to the wifi hotspot while moving?

If it's the former, you might be able to hack something together with Tasker. Have it turn on Wifi if it detects that wifi is turned off.

I think that as soon as you put your car in gear it (the car) turns off Wi-Fi. I noticed that when I start to back out of my garage.

Naw, its the car. As @Robotpedlr said, once you put it in gear the wifi goes off and has to be turned back on.
