What is going on with supercharger rates? They are running from $0.17 to $0.38/kwh within 100 miles of Portland, Oregon. $0.14 difference between the two in Vancouver, WA 15 miles apart. Tigard TWICE what Hillsboro is, only 16 miles apart. Is it based on use, the more use the higher $? Is this happening anywhere else? Without CCS support we are stuck with Elon's wild unpredictable pricing. Power rates in the area $0.08 to $0.10/kwh residential.

I don't know how the rates are structured but it could have a bit to do with how peak demand charges work and the usage factor of the site. 'At cost' is probably ~$0.40/kWh when you add the cost of the equipment. DCFC ain't cheap. Here in NM peak demand is >$10/kW. So a single car charging at 250kW can rack up $2500 in demand fees.

And... I don't think you're gonna find much better rates with a CCS adapter...

Cant complain about it. Its the cheapest around. There is a very high concentration of Teslas in the area as well so its probably used as a marketing tool as well. Its best to charge at home but I stop by there if I need a quick charge and dont think about the money at all since it is so cheap. PGE with taxe is about $0.12 kWh so theres that...
