I think the slight difference is the 1.5 gets it 12v power from the ESS where the 2.0 has a separate 12v battery which I hear is a constant headache.

I have a 1.5 car without a battery pack. And im wondering if I buy a 2.0 donor car, is it possible to get this to work in my 1.5.

Is the battery’s the same in the cars? Will the 2.0 battery pack fit in a 1.5 without any modification?

No, the battery packs are different.

There are some similarities, and common parts, but you can't simply put a 2.0 pack into a 1.5 car without any modification.
