As I drove to my stranded wife’s ICE SUV (come on Rivian, get your act together!) with a portable boost battery, I wondered if the Cybertruck will be able to boost stranded ICEs with dead batteries. We all know that current Teslas have small 12V batteries, but they aren’t built for the quick discharge necessary for starting an ICE. However the Cybertruck will be different. Elon has promised high power 240V output capability. It may have a different power bus than the standard 12V one that ICEs currently use. Anyways, any thoughts?

It's true they announced the 240V power source, and it would surprise me if that didn't include 120V and 12V too.

Personally I'd like to see them offer a 12V jump solution and call it the "Wrangler Rescue Cable" lol

Plug it in to your 12v cig plug and leave it in the glovebox. They slow charge. However, they should be good for 6-12 months without charge.

charge the booster via the 120v in the cybertruck's bed.
