Will I get the Ventilated Seats?? That...is the question

I'm in the homestretch of the production cycle, spoke to my DS today and tracking on the TMC spreadsheet. My car has been in production for quite a few days already, with the DS suggestion it being finished up end of this week or early next.

My one thing I was bummed about was not being able to get the ventilated seats. And then today's message came out! What are the odds that my MS will have the new seats?

I have driver and passenger ventilated seats in my 2014 550i. They have low, medium, and high fan speeds and when on high, I rarely feel any cooling unless I'm wearing lightweight shorts. When wearing jeans or suit pants, I don't really feel any cooling sensation.

Ventilated front seats that circulate cool dry air through perforations in the seating surface when paired with Black or Tan Tesla Premium Seats on Performance cars.

Premium Seats are only available on Performance cars right now anyway. So P90D and P100D only. Surely that will change in a few months, but today it's limited.

From my understanding, the seats on the X are only ventilated - not cooled. So as the description says, it only circulates air through the perforations.

My Range Rover Sport had cooled seats, which actually blew cold air through the perforations.

It would be nice if Tesla updated them to actively cooled seats.

The description for the S says cooled, dry...

Hmmm, I placed my order on Monday Aug 22nd so my lock in date isn't until Aug 29th (in 4 days)

At this time, if I try to build a new MS I can get vented seats as it is a listed feature on the premium package (I ordered Prem package for mine)

When I log into My Tesla and inspect my design, the premium package on my build does not list vented seats (older description?)

Do you think I should just cancel my order and re-order the exact same so I can get the vented seats or would it actually come with it?

Pretty weak on Tesla to do this, especially since the Premium interior cost the same for both cars. :(
In the non P cars the Premium Interior Package cost the same whether you order leather seats or not but if you don't order leather you don't get leather on the armrest, steering wheel, and lower dash.

I ordered early August and was confirmed on the 9th. The announcement was made on the 23rd while my car was still in the production queue and I reached out to the delivery specialist who said he would call me the next day to discuss options. On the 24th my car went into production and I spoke to my delivery person who said that despite having the premium package on a P90D I would not be able to get the ventilated seats without cancelling my order, losing the deposit and re-ordering the exact same care with the exact same options. I get it, but am still not happy.

Why? One day or one year, a cut off time is a cut off time.

I had the same issue, I was in the order clock running period when they made the announcement so I also had the old configuration on my design page. You can email your OA or DS to get this modified. However, you will be subject to the new (increased) pricing to get those new seats. You can keep your current order and old (lower) pricing, but you'll get the next gen seats. I think they are worth the price bump, as I'd bet that many would pay the same price for a retrofit.

As I said, I get it, but don't like it. It would have been nice to get the ventilated seats given the vehicle hadn't entered production and I had ordered the premium package. I understand the supply chain issues and that this wasn't practical. One can always hope, though....;)

Does anyone know if the new Premium Seats are perforated even if if not ventilated (i.e.: if you didn't do the premium upgrade)?
