Will the app work with old password after password change?

If you change your account password, when will the new password be enforced in the phone app? If a phone running the app has an open session, will it immediately query for the new account password in the running app? Or can you continue to use the app on the phone for "some days", since it was already logged in with the old password prior to the password change?

I think the OP is thinking the Tesla app may be like some older apps or web sites that didn’t invalidate tokens when the password was changed. I worked for a company some time back whose web mail was like that. If IT reset the password while you were logged in you could continue on your merry way until you logged out - then you needed the new password. It led to a lot of confusion because users with Thunderbird or some other client thought they were good to go and failed to update the password in their client software. The result was that they ended up locked out the next time they tried to check mail.

Thank you all for your replies. Good to know this is properly handled.

SSedan: this issue is not as uncommon as one might think, and as HankLloydRight points out: this has indeed been an issue also with the Tesla app. But luckily not any longer
