Will there ever be a Tesla with framed windows?

Love the cars, HATE that they haven't followed KISS with their engineering solutions. Do you think we will ever see a Tesla with framed windows? This is really a deal breaker for me living in a snowy climate. Elon, please please please give us framed windows for the Model Y!!!

Why is the a deal breaker? I have a friend with a Model S in Winnipeg — parked outside, no less — and he's not once complained about the windows. A mirror did get frozen folded in once, though.

If they get frozen and can't retract, then you have problems (same with the door handles). They just don't deal well with frozen weather:

Easy fix. Preheat the car 10-15 minutes before you leave. Always worked for me.

Even with framed doors, they still get frozen shut a lot in winter in the UK. The answer is painter's tape. A layer of that between the contact surfaces generally does the trick!
