Window opens/closes slightly when door opens/closes.

I just noticed that the window rolls down by itself about 1/4 inch when I open a door, and then rolls back up automatically when I close the door. Is this something new with 17.17.4 or have I just never noticed it before?

you just never noticed it before, it does that to clear the seals on the doors.

That's not new been happening ever since the Model S was released.
It's on coupe's and convertibles also.

Maybe on higher end cars. My SO's 1996 Subaru didn't do it, but I did notice my Model S did it when I got it.

I see you live in a warm temp state. In the winter it gets annoying because sometimes snow/ice freeze up the windows and they don't open slightly. As a result, the window catches on the chrome upper trim of the car and you can't open the door.

not all cars have it, not all frameless window doors neither. its pretty normal on the higher end cars

For some reason I hate it. Wish the MS had been designed with framed doors, they just seem way more solid.

Not just high end cars. Ford Mustangs do the same thing (at least in 2011 they did; probably still do)

I have a 2003 Mustang GT convertible and it does not do this. Must have started afterwards. I am assuming with the 2005 redesign or later.
