Window venting in Tesla app version 3.10.0

How are some people able to download 3.10?

I only see version 3.9..... available on google play.

Are there different "google play" servers with different versions of the Tesla app?

3.10 is available for iOS ... doesn't appear to be released for Android yet.

No, it's not a bias thing... but could be that the code was ready at different times. Also remember that the apps get submitted to both Apple and Google for review before being published on their relative App Stores. The amount of time it takes for those reviews and publishing to happen can vary, so sometimes it appears on one before the other. Just the nature of the beast.

This is not true. Controls work from anywhere so long as both the car and your phone have an internet connection.

I think you misinterpreted what I said (or I worded it poorly). Existing app functions by and large are not distance limited, so would Vent be the same or would they limit it to assuage any concerns about safety?

All good theories, and I hope that they are true.

I believe both Apple App Store and Google Play Store have some sort of automated app update approval process before codes makes it to the customers (perhaps some sort of simple malware checks). It's possible Google has a slightly longer delay from this process than Apple does.

Maybe there's a difference between being able to open the windows just a few inches to vent vs. being able to open them all the way? While the former may allow toddlers to pinch their fingers, they won't be able to get their necks into the window opening as with the latter situation.

Don't know about all models, but on my X, this doesn't happen. Even the slightest vertical pressure on the window while rolling up, it will automatically reverse. Now that I think about it, that works on most new cars.

yes. this is a safety feature that is in all automatic windows, which bothers me why we don't have the option to completely control the windows from our phones. i would at least like to know if they're open or closed.

Can confirm. Just updated to iOS Tesla phone app version 3.9.1 ten minutes ago.

It would be grand if the window venting worked in conjunction with remote HVAC operation, and cabin temp control.

For the record I just updated my app to 3.10.0 about half an hour ago, I had to update manually as it was not pushed automatically.

And 3.10.0 has none of the extra functionality that folks have been talking about.

For the record I just updated my app to 3.10.0 about half an hour ago, I had to update manually as it was not pushed automatically.

And 3.10.0 has none of the extra functionality that folks have been talking about.

The phone app probably checks to see what FW version is on the connected vehicle and changes the display based on that.

Probably right, I'm not on V10 yet. While everyone is excited about the V10, I'm not sure when and what this version brings to the SR+ owners. Maybe the little defrost button get us excited? BTW, the windshield is easily get fog up under the rain with all the defrost option on. It's not even as clear as my 10yr old CRV.

It might just do that...however it would be nice if I can just download the latest app available ( 3.10 )
