Winter tires are softer and stickier on dry roads. Winter air resistance is higher due to more molecules per square inch in colder temps. All variables to make life with EV more interesting in the winter here :)

I did a 30 mile test loop at 65 mph all highway charged to 80%. Swapped tires charged to 80% again (while swapping). No HVAC on either test. Primacy vs X-Ice (a pretty soft tire but noted for low rolling resistance) got exactly the same wh/mi.

I can’t imagine Sottozero being much different. Also run Pirelli Scorpion Winter snows and saw no change on Model X.

In both cases the winter tires were quieter too.
