Have you seen range change that much with this setup? They look nice! Great snow tires. So, you put 245/45/19’s on all four and no issues?
Zero issues and 5,000 miles on the setup now. Yes, 245/45/19s all around. It is hard to assess if the tires affected the range as the cold absolutely does and the colder it is outside the more range is affected. When I mounted them in October, I did not see much range difference at all between the week prior with the Tempest/AS setup and the new snow setup. Believe me that the last thing that is affecting range is your snow tires when the season dictates snow tires ;-)

Posted this on another thread, but ... not sure that's a safe setup, 255/45 tires on the new Tesla's running 19"

The fronts are 9.5" rim width while the rears are 10.5" IIRC. A standard 255/45 tire can be recommended up to a 10" width. No 255 R19 tire size is going to be a recommendation from Nokian for 10" much less 10.5" tires : https://login.schneidertire.com/uploads/styleDataSheets/sds2344.pdf

A safer bet, depending if you can clear the brake shield, may be the older 19x8 or 19x8.5 rims and go fully square. Not only would the tires be cheaper, but you'll have an easier choice of tires for a square setup.

So say $370 for the BLE sensors, $1000 for the older set of rims and another $1000 for some real winter tires.

Glad to be told that I'm wrong (winter tires are a thing where I'm at) with someone pointing out a square setup that will be good for the front 9.5" and rear 10.5" rims and a reference to the rim width range from a reliable source.

I have Signature SV104s
19x9.5 front
19x10.5 rear
With Pirelli SottoZeros.

They work great in snow and on dry pavement.

I've run 19” 245/45 Hakkapeliitta’s on the car all winter and they've been great. I think they look good in the wheel wells, the backs are inboard a hair if you really look, but its not particularly noticeable. They are great in the snow, and still do decently well in the dry. Obviously they don't launch nearly as hard, and I was surprised to find that sometimes the traction control cuts power pretty substantially for a half second. Still a small price to pay for the fantastic snow traction. I will be glad to swap the summers back on in a few weeks though.

I’ve searched high and low for a matching set of winter tires for the stock 19” wheels (255/45-19 front and 285/40-19 rear) but the best I could do was Pirelli Sottozero rears and Sottozero 3 fronts.

Are they close enough in compound, or is it a bad idea to mix them?

That staggered set is what I'm running, but on Signature 19s (matching factory width). We've had some good snow out in the NY area this season and they've been fabulous. Really good in the dry also.

Do you have the first-gen Sottozero on the rears, and Sottozero 3 up front? Or are they all Sottozero 3?
Here's what I'm running...got them from TireRack. Also some car porn with them on.

I received my Plaid a few weeks ago and I really struggled to find winter wheels+tires of the right size. I originally ordered these, making sure every measurement matched up exactly with what tesla offers on their store:
- Braelin BR10 (Gunmetal) Wheels 19" x 9.5" 5/120 40 64.10
- Braelin BR10 (Gunmetal) Wheels 19" x 10.5" 5/120 45 64.10
- Pirelli P-Zero Winter Tires 255/45R19 XL 104V
- Pirelli P-Zero Winter Tires 285/40R19 XL 107V

But when I went to put them on the car, the wheels didn't clear the front brake caliper. So now my plaid has been a garage decoration while I hunt for replacements.

I returned the first set of wheels, and they are swapping the same tires onto these:
- Braelin BR09 (Painted/Gunmetal) Wheels 19" x 8.5" 5/120 25mm 64.1
- Braelin BR09 (Painted/Gunmetal) Wheels 19" x 10" 5/120 35mm 64.1

1010tires.com assures me that these BR09 rims will fit the Plaid. Hopefully should get them in a week or so and find out.

PS - The BR09 rims cost ~$950usd, and the tires cost ~$1350usd

Replika 245/45 19"s fit perfectly. I have 10,000 kMs on mine since October with Michelin X-ICE rubber
