Has anyone else had the problem of opening the window at a drive thru and have the wipers soak the inside door panel and switches? I've found I have to stop the wipers before I open the window or get soaked.

Yeah stopping the wipers is a good idea in any drive thru. The people that work them tend not to enjoy getting water flung at them.

If the driver’s door is open, the wipers won’t run. Ran into this during my Delivery. Maybe they should make the driver’s window also trigger that.
My truck does the same damn thing. So does my Audi when’s it has a lot of water on the windshield.

If your windshield is so dirty you have the wipers on long enough for washer fluid to soak the inside of your car, you should probably get a car wash, haha.
i've heard similar issues with cars having sunroofs, but we don't have to deal with that with the 3.

Water will stream into the cabin (when it's raining) just by opening the window. There's no adequate gutter up there to redirect it, so it falls directly onto the armrest.

Heh Forkee and I live in SoCal, "raining" is like a foreign concept to us.
One month after the delivery of our 3, I have only use my wiper twice (by twice I meant 2 wipes) to clean the morning dew off the windshield. On our X, we didn't try the wiper 2 months after delivery.. and first time we turned it on we found out it was installed backward... had to take it into the shop.
