Yes, that would be great. But you can turn it on with a simple voice command, so no biggie here.
They used to but Tesla removed that function without telling anyone. At least not us. Oddly, the lights still come on with the wipers in our Model S.

Sorry, headlight voice commands are not available yet, only cabin lights. Not sure why Tesla would prioritize cabin lights over headlights

Here's a summary of today's rants that I've posted 'cause I just needed to vent after almost six years of ownership:
Cruise distance too close
Wipers beta mode still
Can't de-select songs with a thumbs-up (need to change to thumbs-down)
Stop the stupid cowbell
No speed limit visible when in FSD (only current speed and setpoint)

You would think all models of cars would have that feature as a default, I’ve thought that for years. Some states, including California require headlights on when the wipers are on.
